The next picture I would like to discuss is actually a picture of my sister. She runs an account on Instagram for all the dance and yoga that she does so she asked me to take a few pictures of her for her account. We went down by the river and started taking photos. I started playing around with different concepts, poses, and locations. As you can see in this picture, there is this orange blur on the edges. To do this I took a branch with some leaves on the end and dangled it in front of the camera. This creates a blurred effect and, I think, helps make it look more three-dimensional. I edited this photo so it would give off a nice warm glow. The color of the leaves, her shirt, and even some of the grass has a nice, warm tint. I decided to use that to my advantage and enhanced it to really bring the picture to life. I also like the pose my sister is doing because it utilizes the tree so it is not just her in an empty frame and it really goes with the vibe of the picture. From my perspective, it looks like she is bringing attention to the time of year by the way she is reaching towards the ground and how her hair is falling. To me this resembles leaves falling off the trees. I also think the blurred leaves on the edges help push that idea. This picture reminds me of the little ballet figurines in music boxes hence the title. This was a very fun shoot I got to do with my sister and it was actually the first real photo shoot I have ever done. It was very new but exciting and we got some really great pictures out of it so I look forward to doing it again.
