Today I am going to explain how I took the picture I entitled “Fire in the Sky.” I was staying overnight at my grandparents house in Long Island, New York and woke up before sunrise around 6am. Instead of going back to bed I decided to sit outside on the porch and watch the sunrise. When I saw how colorful the sky was I decided to walk around a little outside and take some pictures and ended up with the one below. I also took this with my cell phone.

In high school I actually submitted this picture into a photo contest and won 3rd place for the Landscape/Waterscape section presented by the Ocean County Camera Club.
